Product description:
FY2G Outgoing Longwave Radiation Product is estimated from the radiances of two window channels and one water vapour channel of FY2G. A series of regression equations developed by radiative simulation and regression analysis are used to calculate OLR. The product is projected onto longitude/latitude grid covering the area 50°N-50°S?55°E-155°E with a resolution of 0.1 Degree. OLR(outgoing longwave radiation) is the thermal radiative energy emitted into the outspace by the earth-atmospheric system at the top of atmosphere.It's magnitude is highly related to the temperature of the emitting surface. It is one of the three components that determine the earth radiation budget at the TOA. OLR is widely used in climate model and climate diagnoses.
